Noize of The Day

My blog du-jour is my very good friend and DJ Mister Noize’s music blog. Trust me when I say this boy knows his stuff and I recommend following for your daily fill of amusing but experienced commentary on today’s music.

Also, his mixes on Soundcloud are banging. I regularly find myself jamming to these whilst getting ready.

It’s a shame his lessons in teaching me to DJ weren’t as successful….

SOS!

So, tonight I dined in a lovely restaurant in Farringdon. Smiths of Smithfield is an impressive looking Grade II listed building located directly opposite Smithfield meat market, with each of the four floors offering their own distinctive menus and atmospheres depending entirely on what you fancy. (ooh!)

After having a drink in the bar on the ground floor, we skip past the next two floors to the top floor and out onto the roof terrace. The view of London takes me completely by surprise and I take in the various landmarks around me that I can see with fascination.

Once the excitement has set in slightly, we then enjoy a glass of champagne whilst deciding what to eat.

The food is gorgeous; my favourite starter of squid followed by a fish course is lovely. After this, we shared steak with sides of thin chips and spinach and various sauces (if only I could actually remember all the proper names I was taught throughout the meal!) All of this accompanied by a bottle of carefully selected red makes for lovely meal and I definitely recommend SOS highly.
